History
Around 1998 I started listening to Dance music through Radio 1 listening to DJs such as Pete Tong, Tall Paul and Paul Oakenfold. These mixes inspired me to get into the music more and learn how to mix like these DJs. So at the end of 2000, I managed to scrape enough money together to buy myself some decks. I started off on Citronic PD-1s and a basic mixer, which helped me master my trade.
I am now using Technic 1210s with a pioneer djm 500 and a Kam dual CD player. I have tried to get my set-up as close to the set-up you would find in most clubs, to familiarise myself with the equipment. I am constantly trying to upgrade and expand my equipment to familiarise myself with new technologies and use the equipment to its full potential.
My main aim is to get my music and mixing out to everybody I possibly can, to try and take them emotionally to a place where they have never been before.
I have been playing out live since October 2002 at various gigs, including Bar Med Liverpool, Bar Med Wigan and The Attik in Leicester at a night called Lunar.
I have also played in competitions around the north west of the country, both of which I came runner-up.
I have been producing for about a year now, my productions and remixes have come along way since I started out. I try to use as much equipment and software as possible to always better my production skills and knowledge. Producing has also given me a greater knowledge of Trance music and music as a whole.
Over the years I have listened to lots of DJs but my favourites are Matt Hardwick, Scott Bond, Eddie Halliwell and Ferry Corsten, listening to their mixes has inspired me to improve my mixing and production skills to try to be as good as they are (or maybe better).
