Marcus hails from Manchester, England and began mixing and re mixing records at home from an early age using the most basic of formats, tape editing and pitch-less decks!!!  In 1991, aged 15 he took his first residency playing house, techno, rave and hardcore to a multi-national audience at Blue, Protaras, Cyprus.  Within a year he was resident at the most popular club in the area and before he was 17 he was taking over at Vips (now Pasha) in Ayia Napa, Cyprus playing to 2,500 people every night.

Marcus completed the Ayia Napa circuit playing guest at all the major clubs and holding down a residency at Emporium.  He played with the likes of DJ Zki of Goodmen fame (Fresh Fruit Records, Amsterdam) and he followed the path of tribal, trance and early breakbeat.  After a brief retirement at aged 21 to concentrate of family commitments, he began to produce and re-mix artists such as Phil Collins, Jim Morrison and Kim Wilde.

Marcus lived in Ayia Napa for a period of 5 years and at that time was known locally as DJ Darkus.  After a further summer of residences in Ayia Napa and a winter tour of Finland and Sweden, Marcus now has ongoing projects with Island Records.  He is an accomplished mixer with varied musical taste giving him the ability to play to the most diverse audiences.  Marcus current sets range from progressive house / tech trance to old skool house and hardcore.  Now based in London, his unique style has generated huge interest in the capital and he has just signed with us Jackson DJ Promotions.
